POSITION SUMMARY
Southeastern University, a four-year private, Christ-centered university, located in Lakeland, Florida is accepting applications for a Graduate Assistant for the softball program. The ideal candidate should possess a personal relationship with Christ. Graduate Assistants are student workers who work in a part-time capacity while pursuing a graduate degree. The position is a two-year commitment with an annual review. Summer camps and recruiting opportunities would be available for supplemental income.
Some of the benefits include tuition for the Master's program, meal benefits, and stipend. Past coaching experience and/or playing experience is desired.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Education – An earned bachelor’s degree, and acceptance into a Southeastern University Graduate Program
Ability to plan, organize and teach fundamentals.
Ability to evaluate individual and team performances.
Strong interpersonal skills and communications skills.
Ability to work cooperatively with SEU staff and students.
Possess strong knowledge of softball fundamentals and game strategy and management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Student Culture - As both a graduate student and student worker, GAs must be a leading example of Southeastern's standards for student culture and conduct.
Assist in practice planning and implementation for both team and individual sessions.
Recruiting Student-Athletes.
Assist with weight training and conditioning program.
Assist in planning for, advertising for, and running camps.
Assist in monitoring student-athlete academic success.
Help plan, organize, and arrange team meals and travel.
Office tasks as assigned by the head coach.
Assist in fundraising efforts and communication with donors and alumni.
Participate in spiritual formation and team building activities for the team.
Assist in statistical analysis of team and opponents for scouting purposes.
