Job Summary: Hastings College Baseball Program is searching for a Graduate Assistant for the 2025-2026 academic year. The Graduate Assistant assists in the day-to-day management of the Baseball Program, which requires some night and weekend work. This individual will support the philosophy, mission, and standards of Hastings College, the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), and the NAIA.
Graduate Assistant positions include a tuition waiver, a $5,000 yearly stipend, and on-campus housing free of charge for the individual. Candidate review begins immediately and continues until position is filled.
Essential Functions
Assist in developing and maintaining a highly competitive intercollegiate program within the rules and regulations of Hastings College, the GPAC and NAIA
Assist in planning, organizing and managing all phases of the program including: teaching student-athlete skill development and mental/motivating techniques for competition, scheduling and supervision of practice and game sessions, supervision of support staff members in an efficient and productive manner monitoring and maintaining the discipline and conduct of student-athletes to support the image and reputation of the Baseball program
Recruit, train, retain and coach academically qualified student-athletes within guidelines of Hastings College, the GPAC and the NAIA members
Fund and friend raise for the advancement of the program
Video breakdown and scouting analysis
Provide oversight of student-athletes academic progress toward degree completion
Assist with any and all administrative duties as assigned
Provide leadership for campus involvement and community service
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Bachelors Degree is required. Admittance into the Hastings College Masters of Teaching Program is also required. Passing the Praxis test is considered the qualification for admission into the MAT program.

Desire to pursue the profession of coaching collegiate baseball or teaching
Positive and diligent work ethic
Licensure :
Valid driver’s license with acceptable motor vehicle record insurability in accordance with the Hasting’s College insurance plan.
