Glenville State University is seeking a highly motivated and disciplined individual to serve as Graduate Assistant for the University’s Boxing Program. This position reports directly to the Head Boxing Coach and supports all aspects of a competitive collegiate boxing program, including training, competition preparation, recruiting, and administrative operations.
Examples of Duties
Assist with daily practice planning, conditioning programs, and skill development sessions.
Support bout preparation, meet-day logistics, and travel planning.
Assist the Head Coach with recruiting prospective student-athletes in compliance with institutional and governing-body rules.
Analyze sparring and competition performance to help improve athlete development.
Track athlete eligibility and support academic success in coordination with the institution’s Student Success Center.
Assist with program administration, including equipment management, scheduling, and communication.
Promote a culture of discipline, sportsmanship, safety, and academic accountability within the boxing program.
Represent the boxing program at campus and community events as requested.

Typical Qualifications
Registered and enrolled in a graduate degree program at an institution with a working agreement with Glenville State’s Graduate Assistant program
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
Background in boxing (competitive, coaching, or training experience required)
Strong leadership and mentoring skills
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication abilities
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required
Basic computer literacy and administrative skills
