Description

Glenville State University is seeking a highly motivated and disciplined individual to serve as Graduate Assistant for the University’s Boxing Program. This position reports directly to the Head Boxing Coach and supports all aspects of a competitive collegiate boxing program, including training, competition preparation, recruiting, and administrative operations.

Examples of Duties

  • Assist with daily practice planning, conditioning programs, and skill development sessions.
  • Support bout preparation, meet-day logistics, and travel planning.
  • Assist the Head Coach with recruiting prospective student-athletes in compliance with institutional and governing-body rules.
  • Analyze sparring and competition performance to help improve athlete development.
  • Track athlete eligibility and support academic success in coordination with the institution’s Student Success Center.
  • Assist with program administration, including equipment management, scheduling, and communication.
  • Promote a culture of discipline, sportsmanship, safety, and academic accountability within the boxing program.
  • Represent the boxing program at campus and community events as requested.
