Job Title: Graduate Assistant Cheerleading Coach

Department: Athletics

Reports To: Director of Owl Spirit

Job Type: This is a part time, exempt position.

General Description:

The Graduate Assistant Cheerleading Coach supports the Director of Owl Spirit in the leadership and organization for all aspects of the William Woods Cheerleading program. This is to include monitoring the academic and athletic development of the student athletes; while observing, evaluating, and recruiting student athletes. The assistant coach is responsible for following the University’s coaching guidelines, expectations including the rules and regulations of the NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics) and the AMC (American Midwest Conference).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Have an understanding of the sport of cheerleading.
• Be able to communicate effectively the understanding of the sport.
• Be able to properly demonstrate the understanding of the sport.
• Assist in practice planning and set up.
