Apply NowSummary:
Assists the head coach with overall management of the program including recruiting, preparation, practices, games, and other related duties. The Graduate Assistant is a ten-month position starting August 1, 2024 and is renewable for up to two consecutive years (two years total). The 2nd year appointment is contingent upon successful completion of GA duties and responsibilities. All GA’s must adhere to the graduate program requirements and must be enrolled in graduate coursework in each semester of the appointment. It is also the responsibility of the graduate assistant coach to ensure that all Keuka College, Conference and NCAA rules and regulations are followed.
Essential Responsibilities:
These essential responsibilities are those the individual must be able to perform unaided or with the assistance of reasonable accommodation. This list is meant to be representative, not exhaustive. Some graduate assistants may not perform all the duties listed, while in other cases related duties may also be assigned.
• Assist the Head Coach in the management of the assigned sport, attending all games and practices in the regular season and off-season.
• Assists in scouting and recruiting prospective student-athletes.
• Assists in the designing of practice and game plans.
• Assists in scouting opponents and video analysis.
• Assist in academic monitoring and support of student-athletes.
• Assists with management of athletic equipment.
• Assists in preparation of facilities for practices and games.
• Assist with team travel, social media, community service, and fundraising.
• Maintain effective working relationships with coaches, student-athletes, and other staff.
• Assist another coaching or administrative area, primarily when not in season with primary assignment. May include one or more responsibilities for gameday operations, team operations or recruiting coordination for another sport, strength & conditioning, facility operations, equipment management, or another athletics and recreation need.
• Attend provided/necessary trainings and other meetings to support effectiveness within the position as required.
• Regular and reliable attendance is expected and required.
• Perform other functions as assigned by supervisor and/or Director of Athletics.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Acceptance into a Keuka College graduate program (at the time of hire)
Two or more years of coaching or playing experience, preferred.
Valid driver’s license.
Must have time management flexibility and be able to sustain long work hours including evenings, early mornings and weekends.
Physical Requirements:
• Evening and weekend hours required.
• Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
• Position requires frequent travel.

$9,000 stipend
