Graduate Assistant Coach Softball

The University of Jamestown seeks a Graduate Assistant Coach for the Softball program beginning in the Fall of 2024. The candidate must have strong communication and organizational skills along with the ability to show mature and responsible leadership and work well in a team environment.

• Demonstrate ability to be self-motivated, self-reflective, and to conduct oneself in an ethical and professional manner.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Softball experience as a collegiate student-athlete and/or experience coaching is preferred.
• Ability to obtain a commercial driver’s license endorsement to assist with team travel.

Duties Include

• Practice: Assist in organization, scheduling, and running practices.
• Communication: Manage team social media and external communication.
• Recruiting: Identify and communicate with prospects, travel to competitions, conduct campus visits.
• Fundraising: Assist in team events to grow knowledge of, and support for, the program.
• Coaching: Assist with individual and team practices, competitions, and team functions.
• Other duties include assisting with scheduling, academic support, strength and conditioning, and more.

Terms of Employment

• Two-year consecutive commitment running August 1 – May 31 of 2024 & 2025.
• Must maintain passing grades in enrolled Master of Arts in Leadership coursework.

Compensation

• Full graduate tuition for the Master of Arts in Leadership program.
• On-Campus housing.
