About the Role:

The Graduate Assistant Football Coach will play a pivotal role in supporting the head coach in the development and execution of the football program at Hastings College. Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience. Admittance into the Hastings College Masters of Teaching Program is also required. 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience playing or coaching football at the high school or collegiate level.
• Experience with video analysis software and game strategy development.

• Assist the head coach in planning and conducting daily practice sessions.
• Support the recruitment of prospective student-athletes by evaluating talent and participating in recruitment events.
• Provide individual coaching and feedback to players to enhance their skills and performance.
• Analyze game footage and statistics to develop strategies for upcoming games.
• Collaborate with other coaching staff to ensure a cohesive approach to player development and team dynamics.

Skills:

The required skills for this position include strong communication and interpersonal abilities, which are essential for effectively interacting with players, coaching staff, and administration. Organizational skills are crucial for managing practice schedules, game preparations, and recruitment activities. Graduate Assistant positions include tuition waiver, a $5,000 yearly stipend, and potential on-campus housing free of charge.
