The Ticketing Graduate Assistant assists with the implementation of our strategic plan to sell season and group tickets for football, volleyball, men’s and women’s basketball, baseball, and softball.This is a student position open to current UIW graduate students. This position is considered a “Responsible Employee” under Title IX federal regulations and “Mandatory Reporter” under Texas state law and the UIW Sexual Misconduct Policy. As a Mandatory Reporter, this position requires you as the employee to promptly report any incident that you witness or receive information about Title IX violations. These reporting responsibilities are set out in the UIW Sexual Misconduct Policy.
Meet or exceed weekly, monthly, and annual goals while exceeding client expectations in value and service; Generate, develop, and maintain new and ongoing business and sales relationships; Implement and demonstrate outbound sales efforts by using sales and services best practices, prospecting, networking, lead generation, data capture, and personal database management; Greet, support, and serve current and potential clients daily at games; Assist with game day responsibilities of the ticket sales department, such as box office sales, will call, sales tables, client visits, and group experiences; Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Self-starter with outstanding work ethic; Excellent communication, presentation, and listening skills; Ability to work independently; Ability to greet, support, and serve current and potential clients daily at games; Works well in a fast-paced, team environment; Consistent, punctual, and regular attendance; Display a genuine desire to help people; Ability to think creatively and develop relationships with current and potential season ticket members and group leaders; Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures; Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.
Current UIW Graduate Student
Previous experience in a related field including customer service, sales, ticket office, and/or ticket operations; Possess an interest in college athletics and sales with a desire to start a career in sales;
Must have a valid Texas driver’s license and be insurable by UIW’s insurance carrier.
May work up to 25 hours per week.Must maintain a flexible work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays;
Ability to lift equipment, tools, and/or materials weighing up to 25 pounds waist high.
