Position Description
Valley City State University is searching for a Women’s Basketball Graduate Assistant Coach.  This position will assist the head coach with the following duties: developmental team oversight; recruiting; summer camp organization; video coordination; planning practices; implementing scouts; coaching; mentoring; retaining student athletes; arranging team and recruiting travel; and other departmental duties.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and acceptance into a VCSU graduate program. VCSU GRADUATE PROGRAM REQUIRMENTS: undergraduate GPA of at least 3.0.

Preferred Qualifications
Basketball coaching or student-athlete background, excellent communication skills; strong organizational and leadership skills; a demonstrated ability to recruit, train, and retain academically and athletically successful student-athletes; a commitment and history of integrating the student athlete into the campus community of a small college.

Compensation
$6000 stipend or tuition waiver for a VCSU graduate program and room waiver. Opportunity to earn more pay available.
