The Facilities and Game Management Graduate Assistant will work closely with the Coordinator

of Facilities and Game Management and play an integral role in developing and implementing a

students, staff, alumni, sponsors, and future fans of Maryville University.
Essential Duties:
Assist and coordinate the set-up, execution, and breakdown of Maryville home contests.
Serve as Secondary Event Manager to Maryville competitions, and step in as Primary Event
Manager when called upon.
Coordinate a grassroots effort to increase interest around Maryville Athletics in St. Louis and
surrounding local areas.
Develop and implement initiatives to increase student attendance and engagement at athletic
events for twenty-three NCAA sponsored Maryville sports.
Plan and execute game production efforts for all sports, but most notably men’s and women’s
basketball. This includes the creation of game scripts, and working with music/band, promotions,
video, cheer/mascot, and on-court presentations.
Create unique in-game fan experiences that add value to patrons in attendance while creating a
home-field advantage for student-athletes
Oversee and coordinate the Athletics-led student spirit group, The Dawg Pound.
Learning Outcomes:
With an ever increasing number of athletic teams, more and more assistance is required to host home games across many different locations with a high standard of professionalism. The graduate assistant provides invaluable support to the entire department of athletics, especially with more events occurring at concurrent times. The GA would directly oversee many game day setup duties and effective execution of events.

12 credits/$9,288
The award is based on 20 hours per week for 15 weeks each semester. It is expected that students earn their credit hours in the fall and spring semesters by being enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours each semester. Credits must be earned by May 31 each year. Tuition waiver does not cover fees, private music lessons, books, or OneCard charges. Students will receive ½ of their annual stipend during the Fall semester and ½ of their annual stipend during the Spring semester. Each semester, the stipend will be divided into 8 payments. Fall stipends are paid on or about September 15-December 31. Spring stipends are paid on or about January 31-May 15
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Admission to one of the Maryville University Graduate School programs listed below:
Data Science, MBA or Education
Excellent organizational, oral, and written communications skills
Proven strong work ethic and ability to work independently
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend
