Description

The Graduate Assistant for Gameday Event Operations supports the planning, coordination, and execution of all athletic events for New College of Florida. This position will work closely with Athletics administration, coaches, facilities, sports medicine, communications, and other campus partners to help provide a professional, safe, and consistent gameday experience for scholar-athletes, coaches, officials, and spectators.

In addition to gameday responsibilities, the Graduate Assistant will report directly to the Vice President of Athletics & Recruitment on matters related to the overall varsity and junior varsity/reserve scholar-athlete experience. A key responsibility of the position will be helping assess whether teams are receiving equitable operational support, resources, and gameday experiences across the department.

This position is designed to provide practical experience in collegiate athletics administration, including:

    • Athletic event and facility management
    • Budget development and resource allocation
    • Departmental operations
    • Equity and consistency in the scholar-athlete experience
    • Staff and student-worker management
    • Risk management and event preparation
