Graduate Assistant
Assist with the management of the McChesney Student Activity Center and outdoor recreation programs.
Assist in managing the overall planning, coordination and implementation of the University Recreation Program
Assist with management of the McChesney Student Activity Center and outdoor recreation facilities
Offer counsel on effective and safe use of the facilities and equipment and ensure all employees, including student workers, are adequately trained to advise members, faculty, staff and students on appropriate use of the facilities and equipment
Assist in the evaluation and assessment of the recreational program offerings
Provide assistance to the Strength and Conditioning coaches. Supervise weight room activities, and rehabilitation exercises if needed
Supervise and evaluate the work of student workers
Bachelor’s Degree and admission to the
EXNS
graduate program
Knowledge of University policies and procedures;
Knowledge of University operations, services, and policies;
Ability to effectively communicate with Faculty/Staff, students, and community members;
Effective management and supervisory skills;
Ability to coordinate and organize multiple jobs and activities;
Knowledge of proper use of weight and cardio equipment, and safety precautions;
Safety awareness skills; and
Knowledge of safety prevention regarding injuries
