Graduate Assistant: Men's and Women's Rugby Coach

Nature of Work

Graduate Assistants are hired at Wayne State College to assist in meeting the vision and goals established for WSC. Strategic deployment of graduate assistant positions is essential to ensure that limited resources are utilized in a manner consistent with the philosophy of WSC. Graduate assistants provide experiential learning in select areas and to assist the individual in a successful transition to future educational and professional opportunities.

Examples of Work Performed

  1. Assist with the leadership, supervision, and administration of the men’s and women’s rugby programs consistent with the objectives and mission of the total athletic program at Wayne State College.
  2. Help organize and facilitate all practices, contest preparations, and off-season training.
  3. Support the academic success of the student athletes and maintain a student-athlete retention rate as established by the department.
