POSITION SUMMARY:  

Serve as the GK coach for all three teams.  Second, serve as the assistant coach at all matches.

This position is time-bound with a defined start and end date. To qualify, the individual must be enrolled in graduate-level coursework at Mid-America Christian University during the appointment period. This position is designed to support academic and professional development while fulfilling specific duties aligned with departmental needs. While the role may offer benefits such as a tuition scholarship and/or stipend, continued eligibility is contingent upon active enrollment and satisfactory academic and job performance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the conduct, discipline, and positive character of student athletes by the guidelines and principles of MACU and the NAIA Champions of Character initiative.  
  • Coaches or directs players in techniques of game.
  • Supervise, conduct, and control all training sessions in conjunction with the days training plan.  Must run 1 GK training session with the whole group after the day’s session ends per week.  The date can be flexible.  
  • Lead and develop programs that will strengthen the character of the student athletics.
  • Maintain a professional looking complex for recruits, visiting teams, students, and alumni.
  • Maintenance of the game AND training field, to include mowing, edging, trash removal, etc, will be expected on a weekly basis.  
  • Valid Driver’s License required.
  • Must have the ability to drive University vans to away matches.
  • Must have flexibility for overnight trips that require a hotel stay.
