Graduate Assistant, Production Assistant

KMVC and the Viking Sports Network at Missouri Valley University invites applications for a full-time graduate assistant for a Production Assistant.

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities

Setup and execute Missouri Valley’s Viking Sports Network broadcasts, including a combination of, or all, of the following: setting up audio and video equipment, running and securing cables, verifying operations, operations, taking down equipment before, during and after broadcasts.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Bachelor’s degree before the start of the assistantship, acceptance into an applied graduate program. All international students wishing to work must have a Social Security number
• Degrees involving mass communication, especially broadcast, preferred
• Knowledge of Missouri Valley sports, the Heart of America Athletic conference teams, the NAIA and the rules of the sports for broadcast preferred, with the understanding that mastery is an eventual requirement
• Excellent oral communication skills required
• Technologically minded, preferred.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays
