General Description:

The William Woods University Sports Information Department is seeking a qualified applicant to serve as a graduate assistant and help cover the Owls sports and competitive outdoor life sports program.

This person will serve as the primary media contact for assigned sports and will gain experience working all William Woods Athletics home events.

The term of this job description is during the academic year as outlined by William Woods University.  However, room and tuition continue year-round.

Position Requirements:

• 1.  A bachelor’s degree, preferably in sports management, communications, journalism, athletic administration or a related field

Typical Physical Demands:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• ·         Ability to lift tables and tents for soccer games.

Work Schedule:

Graduate Assistants work an average of 25 hours per week (including days, nights, and weekends). The Graduate Assistant is not required to work during the summer months, but may continue to live in campus housing (if awarded) and continue taking classes.

This position begins August 1, 2023.
