Newberry College (NCAA D2), located in Newberry, SC, is seeking applicants for Graduate Assistant for Strength, Conditioning, and Sports Performance.
The selected candidate will assist in preparing our student-athletes for competition. The successful candidate will embrace and promote the mission of Newberry College and operate and conduct themselves within the ideals, goals, rules and regulations set forth by Newberry College, the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the South Atlantic Conference (SAC).
This position reports directly to the Director of Strength, Conditioning, and Sports Performance. The successful candidate will provide leadership, organization, supervision, instruction, and strategic planning for the Strength, Conditioning, and Sports Performance department.

JOB FUNCTIONS:
EDUCATIONAL OR OTHER HIRING REQUIREMENTS
Admittance into the grad program; certification by the National Strength & Conditioning Association, Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Coaches Association, or USA Weightlifting; and up-to-date CPR/AED/First Aid certification. Candidates must possess outstanding communication skills - both written and oral, have the ability to manage large groups of athletes in a safe and organized manner, possess great initiative, and possess a solution-oriented mindset that maximizes the student-athlete experience.
Upon employment, the candidate must successfully complete NCAA certification exam.
A valid driver's license and clean driving record (if travel is required).
