Hastings College: Graduate Assistant - Track & Field

 

Hastings College Track Program is searching for a Graduate Assistant for the 2026-2027 academic year. Responsible to the Director of Athletics and Head Coach assisting in the overall management and leadership of the intercollegiate program. This program will support the philosophy, mission, and standards of Hastings College, the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), and the NAIA.

Graduate Assistant positions include a tuition credits, a $5,000 yearly stipend, 80 meal swipes per semester, and on-campus housing free of charge for the individual. 

We are reviewing for an August 2026 start.

Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in developing and maintaining a highly competitive intercollegiate program within rules and regulations of the institution, the GPAC and NAIA.
  • Assist in planning, organizing and managing all phases of the program including: teaching student-athlete skill development and mental/motivating techniques for competition, scheduling and supervision of practice and game sessions, supervision of support staff members in an efficient and productive manner monitoring and maintaining the discipline and conduct of student-athletes to support the image and reputation of the athletics program.
  • Assist with the development and execution of choreography for game-day performances, competitive routines, and campus events.
