Provide weekly updates on recruitment to the Director of Enrollment and work with the enrollment team to communicate with all recruits as requested. The coach will coordinate all student-athlete visits to campus in advance with the enrollment team and be present for recruit visits.
Responsible for all equipment assigned to his/her sport. An inventory of all equipment must be kept on file in the athletics department. Equipment will not be replaced due to misuse or negligence. Care of the equipment is the direct responsibility of the coach.
Responsible for court safety for both practice and competition. The volleyball coach must coordinate with all indoor sport coaches for equal court time for practices. In the future, scheduling of the gym may include additional indoor sports.
The volleyball coach will coordinate with the designated transportation coordinator to ensure that transportation is available for travel to all competition. The coach is responsible for driving or making certain that qualified drivers are secured and that all drivers are certified to drive university vehicles. The coach is responsible for adhering to all transportation policies and procedures.
The volleyball coach must take responsibility for the conduct of his/her student-athletes and strive to hold them accountable to the CU Student Handbook and league policies. The coach is responsible for proper conduct of their team while traveling. The volleyball coach needs to set a positive example and be a role model for their student-athletes.
Responsible for marketing and building relationships with area schools/coaches to recruit potential student athletes.
Must have working knowledge of degree programs and course requirements for eligibility and graduation.
Participate in departmental or University training and meetings.
Perform duties for other athletic teams as requested by supervisor, particularly during the off-season for volleyball.
