Apply NowAs the Head Assistant Women’s Wrestling Coach, your role is crucial in supporting the head coach in managing and developing the women’s wrestling program. Emphasis on recruiting, enrolling, educating, retaining and graduating highly qualified student-athletes. This person will help lead the Women’s Program to create a positive, winning culture and exceptional student-athlete experience; and ensures that the New England College Wrestling program is administered with full commitment to compliance with regard to all institutional, conference, and
NCAA
rules and regulations.
Assisting with Coaching: You will assist the head coach in the planning and execution of practices, developing training programs, and providing technical instruction to the wrestlers.
Recruitment: Collaborate with the head coach in identifying and recruiting talented female wrestlers to join the program. This includes scouting potential recruits, attending tournaments, and building relationships with high school coaches and athletes.
Skill Development: Focus on the skill development of individual wrestlers, help them improve their technique, strength, conditioning, and overall performance on the mat.
Academic Support: Monitor the academic progress of student-athletes, provide support and resources as needed to ensure they maintain eligibility and succeed in their studies.
Compliance: Uphold all
NCAA
, conference, and institutional rules and regulations related to recruiting eligibility, and competitions. Ensure that the program operates within the guidelines of the governing bodies.
Team Management: Help with the team management tasks such as organizing travel arrangements (work with Grad Assistants) coordinating team events, and fostering a positive team culture and environment.
Manages the wrestling budget for the Women’s team with Head Coach.
Assists in generating annual fundraising revenue to supplement additional program needs.
Assists in evaluating equipment and uniform needs, manages existing equipment and uniforms, and reports when new equipment and uniforms are needed.

Bachelor’s degree is required
A minimum of three years of demonstrated recruiting and coaching experience and success at the college level.
2-4 years of college-level playing experience
A Master’s degree is preferred.
