JOB SUMMARY
This position will be responsible for all aspects of the Collegeâs Athletic Training Program, including but not limited to overseeing and managing all aspects of an intercollegiate athletic training program; scheduling and coordinating athletic training staff and students for coverage of all team practices and athletic competitions; assisting the Athletic Director and Business Manager in the development of the sports medical program budget; record-keeping and documenting a variety of related material including student-athletes training records and handling athletic insurance administration; coordinating and scheduling physical examinations and medical referrals for student-athletes to determine their ability to practice and compete; managing the daily activities of the training room, treatment, and rehabilitation of student-athlete injuries; and other duties as assigned. This program maintains and follows current NAIA, NATA, and other conference affiliation rules and regulations regarding athletic training requirements. This full-time staff position works within a general outline of work to be performed and develops work methods and sequences under general supervision of the Director of Athletics.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work requires the ability to move and lift 30 to 50 pounds independently and be able to perform strenuous physical labor, and the ability to exert 30 to 50 pounds of force frequently.  Also requires frequent bending, squatting, standing, reaching, climbing, kneeling, stooping, crawling, and occasional sitting. May be required to occasionally work in small, hard to reach spaces. Work is performed both inside a facility and outdoors in all weather conditions. Some hazardous situations may exist based on work to be performed.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work environment may risk exposure to bright/dim light, dusts and pollen, extreme heat and/or cold, wet or humid conditions, extreme noise levels, vibration, fumes and/or noxious odors, moving machinery, electrical shock, heights, disease/pathogens, toxic/caustic chemicals.
