Head Athletic Trainer (Full-Time)

Albright College is seeking a Head Athletic Trainer to supervise and coordinate the College’s overall sports medicine program, including, but not limited to: injury prevention, evaluation, management, and treatment of athletic injuries, short-term and long-term rehabilitation of athletic injuries, education and counseling of student-athletes, and health care administration for athletics.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Provide athletic training services for the College’s athletic department including attendance at scheduled team practices and home and away competitions as necessary;
  2. Coordinate all student-athletes physical examination process, medical referrals, and determine a student-athlete’s ability and eligibility to practice and/or compete in consultation with the Team Physician(s);
  3. Coordinating and scheduling of diagnostic tests, fitting and ordering of durable medical equipment;
  4. Perform pre-participation orthopedic screens on all student athletes prior to their season of competition;
  5. Coordinating and scheduling of long-term rehabilitation with an approved physical therapy provider if necessary;
  6. Oversee the College’s Athletic Training Staff, including, but not limited to the training and supervision of all associate head athletic trainer, assistant athletic trainer, resident athletic trainers and student workers with regards to any and all duties;
  7. Identify professional medical service needs of the entire intercollegiate athletics department including the scheduling and coordinating of athletic training staff and student first responders for coverage of all team practices and athletic competitions;
