Plymouth State University invites applications for the position of Head Baseball Coach. The Head Baseball Coach provides visionary leadership for the university's NCAA Division III baseball program by fostering a culture of competitive excellence, academic success, and student-athlete development. This position is responsible for all aspects of the baseball program, including recruiting, coaching, player development, budget management, scheduling, fundraising, alumni engagement, and NCAA and conference compliance. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to the mission of Plymouth State University and the values of NCAA Division III athletics by creating a positive, inclusive, and student-centered environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Direct all aspects of the varsity baseball program.

  • Recruit, evaluate, and retain qualified student-athletes who will succeedacademically and athletically.

  • Plan and conduct practices, individual skill development, and game-day coaching.

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive year-round training and playerdevelopment program.

  • Supervise and mentor assistant coaches and support staff.

  • Monitor the academic progress and overall well-being of student-athletes.

  • Prepare and manage the program budget in accordance with university policies.

  • Coordinate team travel, scheduling, equipment, and operational logistics.

  • Ensure compliance with NCAA Division III, conference, and university rules and regulations.

  • Build positive relationships with alumni, donors, and community partners to support program growth and fundraising initiatives.

  • Promote sportsmanship, integrity, leadership, and inclusion within the program.
