The Opportunity

Lesley University is seeking a collaborative and dynamic individual to serve as the Head Baseball Coach/Athletic Operations Administrator (Head Coach/Administrator). This role will assist the Director of Athletics with various administrative duties associated with the Lesley Athletic Department, while heading the operation for the Baseball program.

The Head Coach/Administrator will lead the planning, management, and coordination of all aspects of the Baseball program, including the oversite and hiring of Assistant Coaches. Responsibilities include organizing practices, supporting all relevant recruitment and fundraising activities, and overseeing the academic success of student-athletes. They will maintain proper and appropriate discipline among students during athletic contests, practice sessions, and while off campus. Additionally, the Head Coach/Administrator will support administrative responsibilities including scheduling with Minuteman High School and other rental spaces, handling contracts and waivers, and creating an inventory policy for the equipment room.

The Head Coach/Administrator must comply with all policies established by federal and state laws, Lesley University, North Atlantic Conference (NAC) and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA Division III) policies and procedures. Lesley University is an NCAA Division III institution and a member of the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) with 14 varsity programs and a competitive Esports Program, serving over 150 student-athletes.

Qualities and Capabilities

A successful candidate will have:

• Bachelor’s Degree (required), Master’s Degree (preferred)

• 1-3+ years of combined experience in Athletic Administration and/or Coaching (preferred)

• Demonstrated leadership experience; Ability to support administrative duties assigned by the Athletic Director

• Understanding of NCAA Division III rules and regulations

• Experience with event management and site supervision

• Requires night and weekend hours and potential overnight travel

• Driver’s License required
