Position Description & Details:

Bismarck State College is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to fill the position of Head Baseball Coach and Event Coordinator. This role is responsible for supporting and assisting the Director of Athletics in managing the athletic function of the college, with a primary focus on the development, management, coordination, recruitment, and supervision of the Baseball program.

• Develop and implement strategies for student-athlete skill development, retention, and academic eligibility.
• Ensure compliance with Bismarck State College, State Board of Higher Education, North Dakota State, National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) rules, and federal Title IX regulations.
• Manage the Baseball team budget and assist in fundraising events.
• Coordinate and support Continuing Education department with event coordination in the Live Event Center.

• Occasionally – 1-33% - Reach with hands and arms, stoop/kneel/crouch, crawl, climb or balance, or lift to 25 pounds. Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum 3 years coaching experience.
• Effective public and interpersonal communication skills.
• Knowledge of Baseball competition, rules, and strategies per NJCAA.
• Recruiting skills and ability to assess athletic talent.
• Leadership and motivational skills.
• Ability to market the College and its athletic program.
• Organizational and fundraising project implementation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to multitask and pay strict attention to detail.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to work in a collaborative team or independently with minimal guidance. Applicant Materials Required:
