Position Summary:
Under general supervision, the Head Cheer Coach is responsible for overseeing all aspects of an NCAA Division II cheer program, including the development, coaching, and management of all aspects of the program. This includes leading practices, strategizing for competition, promoting the student-athlete experience, and fostering a positive and competitive team culture. The Head Cheer Coach will recruit, train, and evaluate student-athletes, monitor student-athletes’ academic achievement, and ensure compliance with all NCAA, conference, and university policies. Additionally, the Head Cheer Coach will collaborate with other staff and departments to enhance the overall success of the program, provide guidance and mentorship to athletes, and build strong relationships with the community.
