The Office of Athletics at Florida College is seeking applicants for the position of Head Cheerleading Coach. The Head Cheerleading Coach will be responsible for all aspects of the cheerleading program, including recruitment, training, game day preparation, and adherence to all college and conference regulations. The Head Cheerleading Coach helps to enhance Florida College’s reputation and brand with all audiences while furthering the college’s mission.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and recruit prospective student-athletes.
Fundraise in coordination with the Director of Athletics and Office of Advancement. Works to incorporate strategies ensuring articulation of the mission and help to ensure team relationships that enhance our faith-based mission.
Ensure compliance with institutional, conference and association rules and regulations.
Plan, develop, and run organized practice sessions. Work in conjunction with the Director of Athletics to develop game day cheerleading expectations and schedules.
Monitor student-athletes academic progress and implement strategies to ensure academic and athletic success.
Promote Florida College values by demonstrating sportsmanship, integrity, a competitive spirit, and the importance of academics.

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by practice schedules, competitions, and events.

Ability to lead and manage team members
Knowledge and skills in budget development and management
Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.
Effective organizational and time management skills.
