Responsibilities for the Head Cheerleading Coach include, but are not limited to the following:
· Supervising and leading cheer team at practices, home football games, men's and women's basketball and travel with team in postseason tournaments, cheerleading camp, and national competitions
· Assisting in enhancing game day atmosphere by working with other spirit groups with athletics, such as TU’s marching band, pep band, and the Towson Pom Squad
· Coordinating and conducting cheerleading recruitment; scheduling tryouts for the TU cheer squad
· Enforcing and maintaining safety standards and procedures associated with the involvement of cheerleading
· Following department and university policies and procedures
· Ensuring team receives proper training as required by the department and/or University
· Coordinating scheduling and activities for cheerleaders at university and other promotional events around campus
· Consulting on scheduling and planning fundraising efforts for summer camps, local/regional/national competitions and other financial needs for Towson Cheer Squad
The work hours for this position vary depending on cheer practices and game schedules. Travel is required. This position will work 9 – 10 hours per week.

Salary and Benefits
