The Bass Fishing Coach is responsible for advising and overseeing the activities, practices and competitions of the NAIA and the Sun Conference (if applicable).

Supervise the Bass Fishing Team activities, practices and competitions
Schedules and supervises a pre and post-season meeting
Ensures knowledge in and follows the guidelines of any of our governing bodies
Ensures that selection of team members follows the guidelines of our governing bodies
Ensures that members understand the expectations of the Bass Fishing Team, represent academic excellence with New College, and serve as good role models for the student body
Adhere to all field trip/transportation procedures for activities/practices/competitions and supervises participation during trips
Provides for the safety of students, facilities, and equipment while conducting all activities/practices/competitions. Teaches members boat safety
Evaluates Bass Fishing team outcomes and develops and implements improvements
Organize, supervise, and conduct fund-raising as required to support the Bass Fishing team
Maintain financial records of expenses and fundraisers. Maintains Bass Fishing Team records
Ensure that all participants are registered online and rosters are submitted to the governing bodies
Work with Sports Information Director to maintain the athletics website
Secure boat captains and volunteers (if necessary). Evaluate the boat captains and volunteers.
Submit financial requests to the Vice President of Athletics. Evaluate the assistant coach.
Recruit team members and maintain a complete roster for all levels
Attend and participate in all Conference functions
Meet with activities director and/or principal as needed
Maintains the Bass Fishing Team page of the website
Provide information and results to the Sports Information Director
Qualified to coach Bass Fishing per NAIA by-laws (if applicable)
