Description

As a part of a diverse community of faculty and staff who represent many faith systems and worldviews, Marian University Plymouth seeks a part-time Head Bowling Coach to promote our Catholic Franciscan mission and identity by developing and leading a competitive bowling program while mentoring student-athletes in their academic, athletic, and personal growth. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the bowling program, including recruitment, training, program management, and student-athlete development, while supporting the mission and values of Marian University.

Marian University Plymouth (Plymouth, Indiana), an NJCAA institution, seeks qualified applicants for a Part-Time Head Bowling Coach. This position reports to the Athletic Director at Marian University Plymouth. Marian University is a Catholic, comprehensive, regional institution dedicated to excellence in teaching and learning within the Franciscan and liberal arts traditions. The university continues to grow and expand its academic offerings while fostering transformational leadership and service.

The Head Bowling Coach is expected to lead with Franciscan values, demonstrate strong mentorship, and positively represent Marian University while collaborating with faculty, staff, and the broader campus community

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Actively engage the Catholic Franciscan mission and identity of Marian University by modeling the Franciscan Sponsorship Values and honoring the legacy of the founding congregation through transformative education, unity in diversity, leadership through service, integrating faith and life, and institutional policies.
  • Develop and implement a successful bowling program that aligns with the school's mission and values.
  • Recruit and retain talented student athletes to build a competitive team.
  • Plan and execute effective practice sessions and game strategies.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to student-athletes.
