Job Details:

Mercer University Athletics is searching for a Head Cross Country Coach.

Responsibilities :

Responsible for planning and coaching student-athletes, identifying, selecting and recruiting student athletes. Complete and report in a timely fashion, all department university and conference administrative information. Monitoring academic needs and eligibility. Assist with scheduling, meet management, equipment purchasing and travel arrangements. Must be able to organize and handle all aspects of administration and adhere to the rules and regulations of Mercer University, the Southern Conference and the NCAA.

Qualifications :

A bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university and prior related coaching experience, preferably at the Division I level, are required. Must have or obtain NCAA recruiting certification in order to be able to recruit off campus. Candidates must have knowledge of NCAA and Southern Conference rules in relation to cross country, and good communication skills, both verbal and written.

Candidates must have a valid driver's license and be insurable by the university's insurance carrier.
