Wesleyan College has a strong commitment to intercollegiate athletics and is a member of the NCAA Division III and competes in the Collegiate Conference of the South. We are excited to add flag football as a varsity sport and seek a dynamic and passionate leader to build our program from the ground up.

Reporting to the Athletic Director, the Head Coach for Flag Football is responsible for all aspects of the flag football program, including but not limited to:

• Recruiting and retaining highly qualified student-athletes
• Developing and implementing practice plans and game strategies
• Providing leadership and mentorship to student-athletes
• Overseeing the program's budget and fundraising efforts
• Ensuring compliance with NCAA, conference, and institutional rules and regulations
• Promoting the flag football program within the college and local community

_ Qualifications _

• Bachelor's degree required
• Coaching experience in flag football or a related sport
• Strong understanding of the NCAA Division III philosophy and commitment to academic excellence
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to recruit and retain student-athletes
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel

_ Preferred Qualifications _

• Experience coaching at the collegiate level
• Knowledge of flag football rules and regulations
• Experience in fundraising and budget management
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification

This is a full-time 12-month position.  The start date for this position is negotiable and applications may be accepted until the position is filled.
