The Head Bowling Coach is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the men's and women's bowling programs at Campbellsville University. This includes the development of student-athletes, ensuring competitive success, and promoting academic and personal growth in alignment with the mission and values of the university. The Head Coach will oversee team operations, budget management, scheduling, and compliance with university, conference, and national regulations.
Campbellsville University is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Mid-South Conference. The bowling program competes at a high level while fostering a Christ-centered environment focused on student success in academics, athletics, and life.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Coaching and Team Management
Plan, organize, and oversee all team practices, training sessions, and competitions.
Develop and implement effective coaching strategies to ensure competitive success.
Monitor the academic progress and personal development of student-athletes, providing support to help them succeed in and out of the classroom.
Ensure the proper conduct, dress, and behavior of student-athletes during practices, competitions, and travel.
Maintain a culture of integrity, teamwork, and sportsmanship among team members.
2. Budget Control and Resource Management
Develop and manage the program’s budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility and adherence to university policies.
Oversee the purchase, maintenance, and inventory of all team equipment.
Secure and manage funds for travel, lodging, meals, and other team expenses in advance of competitions.
Ensure proper transportation is arranged for all away competitions, including securing safe drivers when needed.
3. Recruitment and Player Development
Recruit and retain qualified student-athletes who align with the university’s mission and academic standards.
Evaluate and develop talent to strengthen the overall competitiveness of the program.
Build relationships with high school coaches, club teams, and prospective athletes to strengthen the recruiting pipeline.
Encourage diversity and inclusion within the team.
4. Compliance and Reporting
Ensure full compliance with all university, conference, and NAIA policies and procedures.
Maintain signed contracts for all matches and file them with the athletic department.
Provide player profiles and accomplishments to the Director of Sports Information.
Report match results and key highlights to the university website and local media outlets for promotion and visibility.
5. Program Promotion and Community Engagement
Represent the bowling program and the university at public events and recruiting opportunities.
Foster positive relationships with alumni, donors, and supporters to promote the program and increase visibility.
Develop and maintain a positive presence within the campus community and the local community.
