The Head Coach must operate with integrity and full compliance with NCAA, SIAC, University System of Georgia (USG), and institutional policies while serving as a visible ambassador for Albany State University Athletics.

Program Leadership: Provide strategic direction and daily oversight of the men's basketball program, establishing a culture of accountability, discipline, and competitive excellence.
Recruiting & Retention: Develop and execute a recruiting plan aligned with institutional enrollment goals; recruit and retain academically qualified student-athletes.
Coaching & Player Development: Plan and conduct practices, implement offensive and defensive systems, and support the holistic development of student-athletes.
Academic Oversight: Monitor academic progress and collaborate with campus partners to promote retention and graduation success.
Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure full compliance with NCAA, SIAC, USG, and institutional policies.
Budget & Operations: Manage program budget, scheduling, travel, and equipment in a fiscally responsible manner.
Fundraising & External Engagement: Support fundraising initiatives, alumni relations, and community engagement efforts to enhance program visibility and revenue generation.
Staff Supervision: Supervise and mentor assistant coaches and support staff.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree.
3 to 5 years of collegiate coaching experience (head or assistant).
Must possess a valid driver's license.
