UT Southern is looking for a Head Coach for Men’s Basketball. Reporting directly to the Athletic Director, the head coach will provide leadership and oversee all aspects of the Men’s Basketball program. This includes organizing team schedules, actively identifying and recruiting top quality student-athletes. The head coach is also responsible for ensuring that the Men’s basketball program follows all college policies and procedures, along with the NAIA and Southern States Athletic Conference guidelines.
This position is expected to manage all aspects of the men’s basketball program. Coach student athletes in their growth and development in the sport of basketball. Monitors and actively encourages student athletes to succeed academically and represent UT Southern with leadership and integrity on and off the court.
The Head Coach will coordinate with other court sports with scheduling of the floor, set up and breakdown, along with other duties related to management of the athletic venue.
Work within the NAIA Compliance mandates to make sure programs and student athletes are complying with all rules and regulations.
Three years of coaching experience at the college/university level including NAIA, NCAA, or NJCAA level or five years of coaching at the high school level.
