La Roche University , a member of the NCAA – Division III, invites applications for the position of Head Coach for Men’s Lacrosse. The Head Coach is responsible for all facets of the program including instruction, planning, supervision, and compliance with conference regulations. This coaching opportunity is considered full time and is eligible for related discretionary benefits.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Direct existing competitive men’s lacrosse program; overall management of team with support from La Roche’s Athletics Department.
• Understand and ensure compliance with all NCAA, University, and Department policies and regulations.
• Manage the recruitment process of future student athletes to maintain and enhance the program, while adhering to NCAA regulations.
• Coach student athletes in all phases of the sport; includes practice time, rules and regulations and standards for intercollegiate play.
• Represent the University with integrity, ethical behavior and professionalism.
• Monitor academic progress of athletes; make recommendations as necessary.
• Assist with event management/site supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education/Qualifications:

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree
• Prior lacrosse competitive experience
• Coaching experience within higher education preferred
• Ability to travel and work varied schedule, including some weekend hours
• Valid driver’s license
