Job Summary/Basic Function

  Maryville University is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to fill the position of Head Men's Soccer Coach. The successful candidate will lead our men's soccer program, fostering a culture of excellence, sportsmanship, and student-athlete development.Essential Responsibilities: • Recruit and retain qualified student-athletes to compete in the Great Lakes Valley Conference and be among the top programs within the league• Oversee scheduling, practice planning, game day operations and travel• Oversee the overall administration of the men’s soccer program including the recommendation for hire and supervision of coaching staff• Oversee and manage the program’s operational and recruitment budget• Understand and follow the rules, regulations and protocol of the University, Great Lakes Valley Conference and the NCAA• Connect with alumni of the program including but not limited to opportunities to meet with coach, invitations to appropriate team activity and other stewardship activities

Minimum Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree required• Thorough understanding of the game and technical aspects of the sport• The ability to effectively teach team and individual skills connected with program and individual student-athlete development• Coaching experience required, and quantifiable success in a quality program preferred
