The Head Coach for Men’s Volleyball reports directly to the Director of Athletics & Recreation. The Head Coach’s purpose is to maintain and enhance the program’s success as a conference, regional and national contender and carry that success into the classroom and beyond. Furthermore, the position of the coach is to organize and facilitate all aspects of a competitive NAIA Volleyball program in a professional manner that will translate into a successful and fulfilling experience for all student-athletes who are associated with the program. This position is a 12-month position that coordinates and is responsible for all aspects of the Men’s Volleyball program, including compliance with NAIA, Conference and University rules and regulations; recruitment of qualified, gifted student-athletes; contest scheduling; budget management and retention of student-athletes. The Head Coach must also contribute to the overall mission of the Department and University through their service and must serve as a mentor and leader of students.
Candidates should demonstrate responsiveness toward and understanding of diverse student backgrounds, especially with regard to socioeconomic status, race, ethnicity, culture, ability/disability, sexual orientation, and gender identity and have a willingness to facilitate the university’s mission to develop global citizens.

Soka University of America offers excellent benefits. Salary range for this position is $55,000 to $62,000 and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Employment is contingent upon the completion of a successful background check.
