Job Description
Head Coach - Men's & Women's Swimming & Diving
Apply NowBasic Function and Responsibility
To coach the varsity swimming and diving teams for men and women and to oversee the general operation of the swimming facilities.
Characteristic Duties
Direct all aspects of the competitive swimming and diving program including conditioning, practice sessions and meets.
Organize and implement recruiting program.
Supervise assistant coaches for swimming and diving.
Formulate budget requests and schedule proposals relative to the varsity swimming and diving program and general pool operation.
Supervision Received
General direction is received from the Sr. Associate Athletics Director.
Supervision Exercised
Functional supervision is exercised over 2 assistant coaches and student workers/volunteers
Salary will be commensurate with experience
Requirements
Qualifications
Organization and leadership qualities a must
A Bachelor’s Degree in physical education or an equivalent combination of education and experience is necessary.
Successful coaching experience at the collegiate level or strong high school coaching experience is preferred.
Some supervisory experience and a reasonable knowledge of pool operation, maintenance and programming is necessary.
