Wilson College invites applications for a Head Men’s Volleyball Coach to provide leadership and direction for its NCAA Division III Men’s Volleyball program. Coming off an appearance in the 2026 United East Men’s Volleyball Championship final, the program is positioned to build on its recent success and continued momentum. This is an exciting opportunity for a student-centered coach to lead a competitive program while supporting the academic, athletic, and personal growth of Wilson student-athletes and contributing to the broader College community.

Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the Head Men’s Volleyball Coach provides the leadership, energy, and vision needed to build and sustain a competitive NCAA Division III volleyball program. We’re looking for a coach who is passionate about developing student-athletes, building a strong team culture, and growing a program that represents Wilson College with pride.

What You’ll Do

As Head Coach, you’ll oversee all aspects of the Men’s Volleyball program, including:

• Recruit and retain talented student-athletes who are a strong fit for Wilson academically, athletically, and personally.
• Plan and lead practices, training, competition, and overall player development.
• Develop strategies to strengthen the program’s competitiveness and long-term growth.
• Mentor student-athletes and support their academic success, leadership development, and overall collegiate experience.
• Build a positive, inclusive, and team-centered culture.
• Manage the program budget and resources responsibly.
• Recruit, supervise, and develop assistant coaching staff.
• Coordinate scheduling, team travel, equipment, and other program operations.
• Build relationships across campus and within the broader Wilson community.
• Ensure compliance with Wilson College, United East Conference, and NCAA Division III rules and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned in support of Athletics and the College.

What We’re Looking For

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to successfully complete required background clearances.

Preferred:

• Successful collegiate coaching and recruiting experience.
• Collegiate playing experience.
• Master’s degree.
• Demonstrated ability to recruit, develop, motivate, and mentor student-athletes.
• Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
