JOB DESCRIPTION
Under administrative direction, the Head Coach of Esports & Residence Life Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive all aspects of starting a competitive collegiate Esports program. The incumbent must fulfill these duties while adhering to all rules, guidelines, and principles as set forth by Newberry College, the Departments of Student Affairs as well as National Association of Collegiate Esports (NACE). In addition, will assist in the areas of Housing and Residence Life.
This is a full-time, 12-month, Student Affairs professional staff position. The Head Coach of Esports & Residence Life Coordinator reports directly to the Assistant Vice President of Student Engagement and Director of Housing and Residence Life and works closely with her/him to carry out all designated responsibilities.

EDUCATIONAL OR OTHER HIRING REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION
Bachelor’s degree required. Knowledge and experience with Esports games such as: League of Legends, Valorant, Call of Duty, Fortnite, Madden, Rocket League or similar games. Ability to effectively communicate with prospective students from point of inquiry through enrollment. A proven record of integrity, high principles, and demonstrated skills in developing and motivating students academically and athletically. Thorough knowledge of, or willingness to learn, all applicable National Association of Collegiate Esports (NACE), National Esports Collegiate Conference (NECC), Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) rules and Newberry College eligibility standards as they apply to Esports at Newberry College. Ability to coordinate all team travel and transportation in conjunction with the Student Affairs. Ability to implement marketing strategies. Knowledge of computer systems directly required for competitive Esports play and University administration. Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and cultures. Experience in campus activities and event planning with focus on Campus Recreation. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office. Must be able to multi-task effectively. Experience with developing and maintaining budgets. Work evening and weekends as required of position. Knowledge of social media and content creation platforms.
