Job Summary:
The Head Coach of Men’s Basketball is a full-time position responsible for organizing and managing all aspects related to the Men’s Basketball program including but not limited to: practice planning and game preparation; coaching and scouting; recruitment of student-athletes; player development and support; academic monitoring; campus and community engagement efforts; fundraising and alumni development; scheduling; travel planning; budget management; and coaching personnel management.
All coaches are expected to advance the mission of the department of athletics to provide an environment that supports the academic and personal achievement of student-athletes. Coaches at Delaware Valley serve as educators and mentors who promote athletic achievement, personal growth and development of skills for life through the experiential learning of sport.
Coaches are expected to work cooperatively within the athletic department, the student affairs division, and across the entire Delaware Valley community to realize goals in support of student success and university goals and mission.

Selected applicants will be responsible for providing the University with clearances, appropriate to the position, that have been completed within the last 5 years. These clearances include, but are not limited to the Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check, FBI Fingerprints completed by IDENTGO, Pennsylvania Child Abuse History clearance.
