Head Coach of Women’s Lacrosse
Elmira College is a private liberal arts College located in the Finger Lakes region of New York. Elmira College was the first college to offer a comprehensive curriculum for women, and is home of the Center for Mark Twain Studies. We are seeking a Head Coach of Women’s Lacrosse to join the Athletics team.
The Head Coach is responsible for all phases of a successful NCAA Division III women’s lacrosse program in accordance with all department, college, and NCAA Division III rules, regulations, and philosophies. In addition, the head coach performs all duties related to team operations including but not limited to the recruitment of qualified student athletes, student athlete development and retention, scheduling, budget management, and student athlete conduct. The head coach supports the entire Athletic Department by performing an ancillary duty as assigned by the Director of Athletics.
This is a full-time, 12-month position. This position does not require scheduled office hours during a pre-determined two-month time frame between June 1 and August 15.
The position has immediate oversight of employees and/or student worker(s) while most of the time performing the same or directly related work as those the position leads

• All aspects of physical and mental athlete development, practice planning, game planning, and teaching skills and strategies, academic support, and oversight of team student conduct.
• Recruiting of student-athletes in support of the overall mission of the team, Athletics Department, and Elmira College.
• Team specific development – alumni relations & fundraising

• Represent individual programs and Elmira college in both internal and external camp, clinic, recruiting, and marketing opportunities on campus, in the greater Elmira community, and nationwide
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable Driver’s history per the College’s auto liability insurance carrier and policy required
• Minimum of 2-3 years of coaching at the collegiate level or equivalent experience required
• Experience with college recruiting and admissions preferred
• Understanding of NCAA and institutional compliance required
• Budget and travel management experience required
• Ability to plan practice and instruct sport specific skills and strategy
• Excellent interpersonal and group communication skills required
• Highly organized and ability to multi-task
• Team community service, public relations, and fundraising experience as a player or coach
• Experience coaching at an NCAA Division III institution preferred
WORK LOCATION: On-site
COMPENSATION: $ 48,000 – $52,000 a year
This position Is benefit eligible.
