Job Title:  Head Coach - Shooting Sports (Part-time)

Location:  Mayville State University, Mayville, ND

Compensation:   Hiring Range:  $8,000 - $10,000 - 10-month contract

Benefits:  This is a non-benefitted position

Position Information:

The Head Coach for Shooting Sports is responsible for leading and managing a competitive collegiate shooting team. This role focuses on athlete development, safety, and fostering a culture of excellence and sportsmanship.  As part of the Mayville State community, the coach contributes to the university’s mission of personal service, academic achievement, and athletic success.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Recruit and maintain a roster of 14 student-athletes (7 men and 7 women)
• Educate athletes on shotgun safety and proper handling procedures
• Develop and implement training programs to improve shooting techniques and overall performance
• Monitor academic progress and eligibility of team members
• Organize and oversee team practices, competitions, and travel logistics
• Ensure compliance with institutional, conference, and governing body regulations
• Promote the program through community engagement and fundraising initiatives

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree
