Recruiting: Knowledge of NCAA rules. Evaluating new and upcoming players. Setting up and managing official visits.
Budgeting: Manage all internal budget information. Maintain close liaison with the Athletic Business Office to ensure proper handling of budget requests, requisitions and other budget and business information as required.
Playing and Practice Schedules: Contact college and university head soccer coaches to coordinate future contests. Establish a practice and playing schedule annually, within NCAA guidelines. Coordinate play in post-season Atlantic Coast Conference tournament. Participate in NCAA tournaments as applicable.
Supervision of Assistant: Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training and professional development of two assistant coaches
Travel: Responsible for coordinating all team travel for away from home contests

Marketing: Work with marketing liaison to maximize opportunities that may exist in the community to promote the soccer program
Equipment: Responsible for ordering all apparel and equipment through the Equipment Room liaison
Academics: Keep in close contact with academics personnel regarding student-athletes’ progress and to determine that study hall hours are being met. Responsible for student’s academic excellence.
Work with the athletic training staff and the team physician regarding safety and health of student-athletes.
Perform other duties as assigned by Athletic Director or Senior Associate Athletic Director/Sport Administrator.
Promotes an atmosphere of compliance with other coaches and actively supervising student-athletes and other individuals so as to maintain strict compliance with, the constitutions, bylaws, rules and regulations of the NCAA, the Atlantic Coast Conference, and any other governing body, league or conference of which the University may be subject to. Establishes and continuously assesses the effectiveness of the internal controls within the unit and compliance with university policies and procedures. Ensures employees are trained on controls within the function and on university policy and procedures.
