Head Coach, Sprint Football/Athletic Administrator ( Req. )
Caldwell University invites applications for a full-time, Head Coach, Sprint Football/Athletic Administrator. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President, the Athletic Administrator will organize a comprehensive recruiting program for the Caldwell Sprint Football program in accordance with University, CSFL and NCAA policies, rules and regulations. The head sprint football coach is the individual charged with the responsibility of planning, programming, directing, supervising and implementing the duties and functions for the sprint football program. Job duties include but are not limited to:
Perform rotational administrative duties that may include equipment management, community engagement, REC sport program development, student employee supervisor/assignor, and athletic department program oversight (SAAC,SAM.CUBS).
Serve as the game day/site supervisors for assigned athletic events.
In conjunction with the AVP, Director, develop fundraising programming and opportunities for Sprint football and athletic department.
Recruit prospective student athletes for the entire program and recommend students for admission, enrollment and to receive scholarships.
Advise staff and team of CSFL, NCAA and Athletic department rules and policies as interpreted by the NCAA, CSFL and directed by the University administration. Ensure the program is in compliance with rules, regulations, and policies. Handle all athletic programs paperwork for all department , CSFL and NCAA requirements.
Supervise all games, scrimmages and practices.
Interview and recommend for approval, assistant coaching candidates.
Direct, supervise, and evaluate assistant coaches. Keep accurate records of responsibilities for the entire coaching staff.
Work with athletic department staff to maintain accurate academic, recruiting, financial, practice, expense, and meal records. Complete all required forms as necessary.
Work with the Athletic administrator to Prepare and submit a yearly budget request to the Assistant Vice President.
Work with the Athletic administrator for ensuring travel arrangements. Drive vehicles as needed.
Work in conjunction with Equipment Manager in the preparation, distribution, and collection of equipment inventory for all sports programs.

Bachelor’s degree plus three to four years of effective experience in the coaching field. Must have a valid driver’s license. Must be available to work evenings, weekends and travel as needed. Must maintain current CPR, AED, and First Aid Certifications. Candidates must be willing to support the Dominican Catholic, liberal arts mission of the university.
