JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics, a Division 1 and Big Ten Conference Institution is seeking a Head Coach for Swimming and Diving. The University seeks a dynamic and experienced leader with a strong commitment to NCAA Division I-A athletics, integrity, compliance, character, diversity, and the academic and athletic experience of the student-athlete.
Responsible for maintaining and strengthening a nationally competitive Swimming and Diving program by presenting a clear vision and strategy to compete for B1G and NCAA Championships. Candidate must recruit on a national level and engage in the personal, academic and athletic development of student-athletes and is responsible for the program’s strict compliance with University, Big Ten Conference, and NCAA regulations.
Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus at least six years of Division I coaching.Coaching experience at the collegiate level is required. Commitment to comply fully with the mission statements of the University and Department, including Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics vision to prepare students for a lifetime of impact. Proven organizational, evaluation, administrative, and communication skills; a demonstrated ability to work well under pressure; and knowledge of NCAA regulations are required.
This position requires the following clearances: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. Due to the financial and fiduciary responsibilities of this position, successful completion of a credit history check will be required. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required.

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is:
$35,600.00 - $500,000.00
