Recruit, select, and retain a minimum of 14-16 team members that reflect the profile of Wheaton College students
Establish and monitor team standards
Schedule all contests with input from supervisor as needed
Conduct appropriate training and practices to prepare teams for intercollegiate competition
Select and supervise assistant coaching staff that represent the convictions of Wheaton College
Spiritual Leadership
Encourage and develop personal relationships with student-athletes
Serve as a consistent role model and resource for student-athletes
Cultivate a team culture that engages in prayer, worship, and scripture reading
Encourage a holistic environment for the well-being of student-athletes
Provide leadership and Christian discipleship to current student-athletes
Administrative Leadership
Ensure all administrative duties related to team management are completed in a timely manner
Assist with securing game-day personnel
Manage and operate within the annual volleyball budget and participate in the annual budget planning process
Schedule and oversee team transportation to and from away contests
Attend departmental staff meetings with participation in committee work as needed
Cultivate relationships with volleyball alumni through E-newsletters and alumni volleyball games
Cultivate a relationship with the volleyball team Faculty Partner
Assist with other assigned administrative duties in the department during the off-season

Ability to recruit quality student-athletes at the college level
Ability to lead, motivate, and inspire student-athletes on and off the volleyball court
Excellent communication skills
A commitment to the values of NCAA Division III athletics and Christ-centered education
Strong organizational and leadership skills.
Competency in MS Office computer programs.
Physical Requirements
The person in this position must be able to drive/transport athletes; set up and take down volleyball equipment; and the ability to lift, move, and carry up to 25 lbs.
