This position as Head Coach is responsible for all components of GHC Women's Cross Country program including recruiting, on field coaching, and overseeing conduct and discipline for student athletes. Additionally, this position is Softball Assistant Coach and assists the Softball Head Coach in creating and maintaining a successful program for the institution.

Is responsible to understand, support, and carry out the college's mission, vision, and values and comply with mandates and regulations of government and accrediting bodies
Balances time and expertise between two (2) teams ensuring each receives necessary attention and support
Is responsible to manage the female cross country club sport through practices and arranging competitive club meets for the team to participate
Identifies and recruits potential student athletes for women¿s cross country and softball
Assists the softball head coach with practice plans and game strategies for upcoming opponents
Performs on-field instruction and player development
Conducts and supervises individual trainings for student athletes and off-season conditioning
Monitors progress of student athletes and implements strategies to ensure academic and athletic success with an emphasis on sportsmanship, integrity, a competitive spirit, and academic success
Performs administrative duties, including camp coordination, traveling, and executing tasks¿
Performs assigned duties in a manner consistent with the mission, goals, and core values of the college
Maintains sensitivity, understanding, and respect for a diverse academic environment, inclusive of students, faculty and staff of varying social, economic, cultural, ideological, and ethnic backgrounds
Performs other duties as assigned
Bachelor's degree in a course of study related to the occupational field
Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one (1) to two (2) years
Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver¿s license for the type of vehicle or equipment operated
Commensurate with experience
Knowledge of college-level athletic program management principles
Knowledge of sports field maintenance principles
Knowledge of Softball rules and procedures
Knowledge of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC), and National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) rules and regulations
Knowledge of National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA)
Knowledge of computers and job-related software programs
Skill in the coaching and training of student athletes
Skill in the analysis of problems and the development and implementation of solutions
Skill in oral and written communication to maintain clear and open communication
