The Head Women’s Golf Coach will be responsible for oversight of the Women’s Golf program at Cleary University. Oversees recruitment, budget and monitors student-athletes for the Women’s Golf program. Responsible for submitting preliminary budget, schedule, travel and equipment needs for the Women’s Golf program. Follows all rules and guidelines in accordance with Cleary University and NAIA.
CHARACTERISTICS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position will have specific responsibility for the training, instruction, and management of the entire program.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: recruiting, scheduling, practice/game management, scouting opponents, academic supervision of student-athletes, public relations/community/alumni service, etc.
Recruits prospective student-athletes in accordance with Cleary University’s strategic enrollment management targets, meeting required roster size.
This position is required to submit list of recruits for scholarship approval (All grants/scholarships are awarded in accordance with an approved College budget and shall be approved by the Athletic Director).
The ability to recruit competitive student-athletes to a high academic environment is required.
Be directly involved with sport-specific fundraising initiatives and fund development in accordance with the College’s and Athletic Department's goals for the program, including supporting the annual athletic department fundraiser.
Promote and track student-athlete academic performance and community service.
Supervision of assistant coaches, volunteers and student-athletes (academic, practice and games), fostering sportsmanship and fair play.
Manage team equipment including inventory, repair, and replacement (purchasing in accordance with approved budget guidelines and purchasing procedures).
Abide by all standards, rules and regulations of the Cleary University and NAIA.
Required attendance at athletic department and student-athlete orientation meetings.
Conform to the administrative policies of the University and the Athletic Department including travel regulations (maintain a good motor vehicle recordfor team’s travel), scholarships, purchasing and credit card use, etc.
Foster a positive image for the University, Cross Country and Track programs and the Athletic Department.
Assure team media information is accurate, current and complete (rosters, web pages, brochures, etc.).
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
PLEASE NOTE : The individual hired for this position will be required to have a pre-employment Motor Vehicle check, background check and drug test.
Bachelor's Degree from accredited institution.
A minimum of 3-5 years of coaching experience with evidence of increasing levels of responsibilities.
Established record of accomplishment in effective coaching, promoting student athlete development, budgetary management, and supervision of professional staff.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills including verbal and written.
Proven ability to recruit student-athletes, knowledge of NAIA rules & regulations.
AED/CPR and First Aid certification.

Administratively self-sufficient and be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and web applications.
Basic knowledge of video filming, editing and analytics.
